Previously named the Brandy Cask, if standing to-day the Antelope would be opposite Boot’s the chemist, the pub survived the blitz but was demolished in the 1950’s redevelopment as was the Armada which stood two doors along towards Old King Street (now Merchant Street).  The tenancy of Alice Haynes commenced on the 5th June 1939, the rent was £50 per annum and the landlords were The Bristol Brewery Georges & Co. Limited.
